It was a pleasure working with Jackie and Ryan on their wedding! We worked with them throughout the year, consulting on the types of images they were looking for, the people that would be involved and how best to capture the essesence of the whole wedding. We had bountiful opportunities throughout the day to capture formal and casual portraits at different locations in Portland, Maine, ranging from the coast to the parks.The wedding ceremony was held at the Irish Heritage Center, a lovely gothic building with spectacular architectual features. The images below are a small selection of photos taken on the day.

Recently I published a blog about doing a "reckie" at this location; the McKernan Center, Maine. I had the privilege of photographing a lovely wedding there the following week, the wedding of Nancy and Dennis. I was asked to photograph both getting ready, the ceremony, which took place at 5pm overlooking the water, the location, what I consider "still-lifes" and the moments that we all want t revisit again and again: the first kiss as a married couple, cutting the cake, the first dance, and so on. The couple tell me that their relationship all started with a Corona and a Cosmos, so of course, we start our photographic journal of the day with that too. Congratulations to the wonderful couple!
